Neah Bay Halibut

Hello from Double D's in Kalama, WA.

We are headed to Neah Bay for the Halibut opener and wondered if any other members were going to be headed that way.

We recently refurbished the inside of our boat and are waiting to get it back from shop with a 2006 E-Tec 90. Can't wait to take it out, we practically lived on it last summer before the upgrades. Now we're thinking about selling the house!

We really enjoy all the knowledge that you people have about the best boats made.

Weclome to the pub. Sark and I my be going to the openerat neah bay, weather permitting. Sark got his first halibut in my boat on sunday near easterns bank. it was 20lbs and gave a good fight.

What are the up grades to your boat? do you have photos for them yet? I always like to see what other s are doing to ther riggs.

Congratulations to Sark on his Halibut, just right for eating. Dolores is working on the pictures and when she gets done I'll have her post them. When we bought the boat the previous owner must have used a chainsaw for his finish work so it was quite a project. We tried to get C-Dory to send us the parts but didn't have too much luck so had to do a custom job. All in all it turned out much tighter than original..........amazing what a few (quite a few) cuss words can accomplish. Ever try to find level on a banana?
Ever stay at Snowcreek? It's the only place as far as we're concerned.
Hope to see you in a couple of weeks.

McNaughty III will be there for the 4th year in a row. We will stay at Sekui (Curleys Resort) and moore the boat at Big Salmon in Neah Bay. My partner and I will arrive on Saturday the 6th and leave on Saturday the 13th. Last year the weather was perfect for most of the week and we were able to fish Swithsure, Blue Dot and 72 square with no problems. The year before the weather was a bit less then perfect but we still caught our fish, it just wasn't as nice of a ride. It sounds like the fishing regulations are about the same as last year except you can only fish for halibut on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Make sure you smile when you pass by, I'll be taking your picture for my photo album.
