new boat?

OK twofootitius has hit and I'm thinking a bigger boat would be the cure. I like the economy of the flater hull but the 25' model just doesn't quite scratch the itch. I've found a used boat that's a bit bigger than the 25' but stills retains that flat hull economy... http://portland.craigslist.org/boa/85163172.html

wadda ya think? see you folks at Blakely next year

That's just the ticket. I can just motor out to the river to meet you, and you can lift my boat up on the deck with your crane, haul me out to the pond, set me down for fishing, and then load me back up for the return. I'll save lots of money.

B~C, you're a dork.

Such a deal! Only once in a lifetime if you have the guts to go through with it!!! Sell the house, buy it now, and retire immediately! You can live and "work" anywhere north from the Columbia to Nome. Your floating palace on the Northwest Frontier! Soooo...what does the Admiral say???

But you've made a fatal error in posting it here. Red Fox will be after it tomorrow and you'd be locked in a bidding war with an equally crafty and shrewd opponent without a clue of common sense. I think you guys are both off the wall more than just a bit! May the looniest one win!!!

If it were me, I'd buy it, stack a bunch of containers on it, subdivide them into a bunch of "bedrooms", get a bunch of girls, and open up a floating and traveling bordello. My guess is there's still gold up there to be had. Welcome to the Klondike Cathouse, my friends!

Joe.

I may be a dork but if I where to get that boat, everybody will have to deal with me if they want to fish Bouy 10, boowahahahaha (diabolical laugh sound)

oh damn, you're right Joe, Red Fox will see that baby and snap it up & load it with containers...he'll have him an Alaskan Condo and probably make millions.

Ahhh like it :thup the perfect solution to the RedFox's ever-growing harem :smilep :xnaughty

We bought a new boat this weekend, not a C-Dory, we already have one of those but a SAILBOAT :cry . Mostly for my bride, who is an avid sailor from her days on Naragansett Bay, gotta admit that I want it too though, we've had several.

This is a Gloucester 22, a nice little keel centerboard model. Has a cabin that sleeps 4, porta-potti, little galley, etc. It draws 20" with the board up and 5 1/2 feet with it down. Not much more than a C-Dory (board up) and it'll fit in our creek fine. Nice dark blue hull, just Awlgriped and a little 6HP kicker. It'll live just across the pier from Captain's Choice.

Already got a name, "Sally's Choice", in keeping with our pattern. Will post some pix soon, it's a nice looking boat and a good platform to take pictures of our CD 22 from!!
