Hello all... just a quick introduction as we join the club. We purchased a used C-Dory 22 Cruiser yesterday and brought it home to Mount Desert Island, Maine. This site and people were very helpful in our research and decision making process. Thanks and we look forward to enjoying the boat and the group here.

Well I tried to copy your photo and past it in here too. No Joy. The address needs to end in JPG so that it is the image, not the page address.

And, yes... The Coast of Maine is indeed a small boat cruising paradise. We are lucky to call it home. I've got nearly 30 years experience operating boats along her shores and still feel like I've only scratched the surface of what is available. There is a lifetime to explore here.

I'm excited to enter C-Dory ownership and learn and share. If any C-Brat is ever in the Acadia region, feel free to reach out.

Got Galavant launched and on the mooring at her new home after a nice shakedown trip this afternoon with my son. Got a 60 mile day planned for tomorrow, so we're getting right to it on enjoying the boat!

Nice looking boat. I see you have twins that look new. sorry to tell you Widget is done for the year but we can certainly plan to meet in Frenchman Bay or at the Cranberry Islands next year.

Thanks Dave! Our morning with you and Valerie with your willingness to show us and take us aboard Widget for a test drive and to see a C-Dory in person was a great help in making our decision to buy a C-Dory. It was much appreciated.

We will look forward to meeting up with Widget next season and are happy to show and share our cruising ground of Western Mount Desert Island and the archipelago of Islands surrounding Isla au Haut.

I put in a 60 mile day yesterday on Galavant with my son as we played “water taxi” and shuttled a friend over from Mount Desert to North Haven to pick up a boat that he services and is hauling for the season. It was a beautiful loop and a great shakedown for getting aquatinted with Galavant. Winds became 15-20 out of the South and 2-4’ seas in the afternoon, Galavant performed admirably and kept us warm, dry, and comfortable. We plan to keep Galavant in the water until mid November and enjoy some late season camping. I’ll post pics when I better figure out the photo system here.
