New company and website announcement

Hello all,

Marinaut Boat Company has been formed to produce and sell the Marinaut 215 and I've just taken our new website live. MBC is housed at E.Q. Harbor Service so the change is really about having a separate business entity for Marinaut production and sales.

The change is intended to simplify things and unify the Marinaut name, and increase its recognition factor rather than having multiple names (Marinaut, Toland Marine, and E.Q. Harbor Service) in the mix.

Our new website is www.marinautboats.com

Our phone number is (888) 949-9970.

We think the Marinaut 215 has one of the best blends of space usage available on a 12' 6" boat.

Les I think you mean 21'6" in the above sentence.

Nice site and nicer boat.

I'm telling you, we got a thing going on here Bill! There's just no other 12' 6" boat out there that has the space of the Marinaut!

Thanks for the catch!

Les,

Those former Marine, now attorneys are someone to watch out for. Eagle eyes!

I think the consolidation of names is a great idea...

Bill, sorry for spilling the beans on you! When are you going to retire and come back to the PNW?

Steve

Retirement -- what's that?

At my June annual meeting I extended my contract through 2013 -- my wife thinks that 2015 or 2017 has a nice ring to it.

As to place, I am sitting in the living room of our vacation/retirement home in Ocean View, Delaware. We bought it last fall at a bargain price because my wife (of 42 years) picked it out for us. My 90+ year old mother still lives in Newark DE and two our kids, spouses and one grandchild and are in Washington DC -- 2.5 hours away.

We have made several improvements since the purchase, still want about 1000 square feet of hardwood floors and upgrade/retile of the master bath. The boss does want a boat for the Indian River Inlet and Chesapeake Bay so trailerable is a must. For the two of us a CD 16 would do the trick but I need to think of room for company so a 22 Angler probably makes more sense. I'm thinking next summer.

So for the next few years we will be living in Las Vegas most of the time, Carson City from February through June of odd numbered years and getting as much time at the beach as life allows.

It's not only Marines that have eagle eyes.... Us squids can read too!

"The drwaing clearly shows the slop in the cockpit"

It's a very well done website, just needs spel chek and some proof reading...

Oh, and take the slop out of the cockpit!

Congratulations Les, hope, as the economy picks up so do sales!

I'm usually not too bad with my spelling but I was writing an awfully lot in a short period and my web program does not have a spellchecker (doggone it!).

I have gone through and cleaned it up a lot now and I've added the History section.

Thanks letting me know about the errors you find, it's very helpful.

And I'll be adding more photos. I've been a bit reluctant to take detail photos of the boat we have now since it isn't rigged like the production boats will be (Dave did it for his own personal use so it's "customized" compared to what will be the standard). I suppose I should use some photos of the current boat and then update them when we get the next boat done in 3 or 4 weeks.

Les,

A thought... Put your website URL in your signature for all postings on the Brats. We can then go right to the site without having to look for the URL.
