Hank,
Welcome. You'll find this to be a friendly group that is full of ...................

advice. Hope you enjoy the boat and post some fishing pictures!

Welcome, I too spent my time rock climbing, mtn biking, fly fishing. All semi-solitary sports & just said NO to computers until I found a box full of tether cars from the mid forties to early fifties. Had to make friends with the computer to research them & find out what I had. It's amazing, all your questions are now answerable. There's a lot of help here from folks who are literally in the same boat. I'm a refugee from your area,Woodland, now living in the redwoods on the Smith river. life is good! Practice makes perfect, get on that keyboard and chat em up! Vern/ C- Dog

Welcome aboard. One of the great advantages of the C Dory are the Brats which come with the clan. If possible go to one of the gatherings. The Delta Cruise is one of the best--smaller group--10 to 11 boats, and a great time--not that far from where you live.

Enjoy our extended family. Many of us have the same interests--and most are pretty much "outdoorsy"...

This group is a bit different than most chat groups or forums. C-brats is chocked full of adults and is a heck of alot more respectful, useful, and informative. Welcome, and I also prefer the outdoors but still have that darn job that gets in the way.

Yes indeed, WELCOME

Hank, welcome aboard. Many of us here aren't afraid of our own company & in fact sometimes prefer it with being outdoors especially by a campfire or with the boat either alone or in the company of friend or friends at the top of the list of having good times.

I had never even been on a computer before purchasing the C-Dory. Bought one just to use with navigation software for cruising in Southeast Alaska & it wasn't until three years later that I found this site on it. Now seven years later many here I've met in person & more yet that I haven't, but still consider friends. Read about some of the shared experiences in the Grand Adventure Forum & it may motivate you to spend even more outdoor time than now.

If to many people around bothers you & yet you'd still like to meet some C-Brats & share experiences, think about attending a Lake Powell Gathering. There you can chose how much time you want to spend alone or with others & either way have a fantastic time.

Welcome Hank! Just type what you think...sometimes that gets me in trouble, certainly when I SAY what I think to my wife, it does! The folks here are a lot more forgiving!

Let er rip!

Hank,

Welcome on board...
It's good to see another C-Dory in the neighborhood. I am from Auburn, just a few miles from you. I do come to Marysville during the fall season to go salmon fishing on the Feather River by the rapids with my second boat, a non-C-Dory. Perhaps I will see you on the Sacramento River or in the Bay...

Heinz

Welcome Hank,

One of the best things about your C-dory is that it comes with a connection to a really neat "family" that accepts you where you are and is willing to help, share and enjoy as you are.

Glad to have you here,

Harvey
