hello c-brats:

This is our first post! We would like to thank all the c-brats for this great site and all the wonderfull information we were able obtain here. We spent many hours going over the post on the : cd 22, cd 25, and the venture 23. In the end we bought a 2009,venture 23 with a honda 90 and 9.9 kicker from Sports Craft Marine,in Oregon City, Oregon.
We just got home from running the boat in the California Delta, out of Rio Vista. The ride, the handling and the power were all outstanding. Now we will spend the next couple of weeks installing the electronics and canvas.

Welcome aboard Russell and Theresa! As I'm sure you have read already and as I can personally confirm, there is a solid contingent of C-Brats in this world class cruising area available to you. Hope to see you on the water!

I saw that boat when I was recently at Sportcraft. Beautiful! I just bought my 22 there. Larry is a good guy. I'm sure you'll love that boat.

Congrats and welcome aboard the Brats as an 'official' owner - We got our first time behind the helm of a C-Dory at Sportcraft - great folks. We look forward to seeing you folks at a Gathering.
 
Welcome to the gang. You have certainly found a nice boat, and as mentioned, there are a pretty good collection of C-Dory boats in your area. Ours was originally from there too, but the original owners brought it north before we found it.

Have heard some about the delta cruise area and wonder if it would be a good place for some winter cruising?

The California Delta is a great place to cruise but in December, January and Feburary. It can be real cold! They have some good books and maps for the Delta. They will show you where to launch and they show the resorts/harbors. Some of the areas we like are: Cache slough, prospect slough, the meadows by Walnut Grove, Giustis resurant same area, Korths Pirate lair, Franks Tract area, Old river, Middle river and five fingers , Bethel Island area,and Delta marina at Rio Vista.
