yes to fd dophion boy but you have to get closer then that.

Robbi- sorry

clue we have all been thier, well a LOT of us and its well known.

Tom, my friend... I STARTED this game! 8) If you are going to post an image that has a bit of land, water, and boats, and COULD be any of the gazillion islands you have in the PNW, you have to be willing to accept a more general answer. May I politely suggest that the photo submissions have at least ONE generally recognizable landmark so that Pat doesn't have to name every freaking island and harbor in the PNW?

I understand... you've been around a lot of glue fumes recently.

Your pal who sends WARM wishes,
Jim

Sausalito, off of Sommerville Road!!!!!!!!

Yep Robbie was correct as was Tortuga. I was thinking it would be easy for those in the Bay area but difficult for us up here in the NW but Robbi proved me wrong. I took that shot from the park just off the north end of the Golden Gate bridge. I've not been there in my boat but it is a place I want to visit.

This is a great location to sail out of. As I understand it the marina is available only to active or retired military folks. It was the first place in the Bay I ever sailed out of and I was hooked.

This is a bit farther east than Marysville.

Hint, it is not far from Greece, or Henrietta.

Some one been to Europe?

Hey flipper, yeah you, I was going to show part of the dock but it had the name on it and that's to easy even for this bunch

No, not "Europe". It is in the US or Canada, and no fair guessing "North America"!

This year it will be 184 years old. Called Clinton's Ditch by some, it's correct name is........?

And yes I'm going straight to hell for that one. if you got to go make it worth it. [/quote]

Dear Glue-sniffer,

Ever heard of Photoshop? Put a black box over the sign.

Keep it up, and this won't be a bunch, it'll be a mob.

You need to learn some respect... that's MISTER flipper to you. 8)

Yes in deed. Thank you Jim. This is lock number E 32 at Pittsford, New York. I think a few C-Dorys have made their way up and then down to Lake Erie from the Hudson River.

That would explain why I couldn't find the name of the marina in any directories. I even used google street view to see if I could find a sign with the name on it but the CG station is all I could see.

Here's more info -- http://www.presidioyachtclub.org/ -- seems it is also open to Federal Employees -- too bad I'm just a state employee or I'd jump at it (even though its a looong drive from Ventura). Great deal for any Veterans out there -- as it should be.

it's one of the channel islands but I dont know which and have to look it up later.

Nope- not considered part of the Channel Islands Chain.
This is one of the best surfing areas on this island.

I am NOT getting in the middle of this "frozen snot boy" versus "FD dolphin boy" thingee again!
