Real world cruising is different than land based life. Many cruisers don't have a shower every single day....hard to believe. Showers pretty recent invention you know. We don't get that dirty unless we play in mud. I feel a decent shower stall needs to be 3 by 4 feet and hard to get this in a 30 footer let alone a 25. Maintenance is a challenge If you have hot water you must be in a marina and plugged in We find showers ashore more convenient than a cramped shower aboard same with the potty. Much activity ashore there too! What with marinas, marine parks etc. we are ashore a lot One can have a luxurious shower aboard your 22 with a solar shower or modified garden sprayer. If in a crowded anchorage wear shorts and go to the foredeck. Open spaces Uncrowded anchorage? Get nekid and shower away. Shower in the cockpit Lots of choices People routinely ask me and others...."you live on that little boat?". Nope. Sleep and cook and eat there,....live outside! Just like the folks in the $800,000 houses. They cook sleep and eat there too. The rest of the time they're at work or in their car. Get a boat and enjoy. George :thup

I just purchased a used 2007 C-22, the Midnight Flyer, and live next door to Brazo. So that's two of us here near Madison, and I get up to the Door several times a year. I'm pretty sure there will be another 22' C-dory coming on the market in the next few months, located in Janesville (just south of Madison). Perhaps the owner will see this and PM you about it. I'm looking forward to spending some time on my C-dory this summer. If you end up changing your mind about going C-Dory, I also have a 1988 Searay 268 Sundancer for sale up at Skipper Buds in Madison. I can tell you it'll be cheaper than a C-dory, but with a single screw 454, it's going to make up for it in gas. (Mainly why I decided to sale it, that and wanting something more versatile.) But it has a lot of room, and would make a great salmon fishing boat.

All very good suggestions...thanks. I think the closed head is probably going to be the biggest determining factor. I just don't see her squatting down on the little potty in the cuddy sleeping area, as well as having the potty anywhere near we may sleep. She is very particular about any of those invisible germs :twisted: creeping anywhere her head would be laying.
Man...I really wish I could afford a boat right now
. We would get alot of use out of it and there is so much we could do as a family with it. By the time we get it they will all be out of the house and in college....I guess that's not a bad thing either :wink
