They are all that, but I would call them pretty affordable compared to yeti and the others for what you get. I bought one a couple of years ago and it is a big upgrade over the old coleman and igloos I have lying around.

THE LATCHES LOOK NICE ON THOSE LIFETIME COOLERS. NOT SURE I LIKE THE SINGLE LATCH IGLOO LATCHES.

The latches work excellent and a lot easier than others I have tried. They also put just the right amount of pressure on the seal.

T.R. - compared to Coleman a few extra $ but yes compared to Yeti - competitively priced and probably as good. When I bought it I filled it with ice and it was still holding 7 days later.

Being new to all this I don't understand the purpose of that little strap on your anchor shank. Sure looks like something isn't right somehow. But I see a bunch of you do it so I must be missing something.
 
In my case, the anchor has to tilt forward and down for the anchor to drop. If you prevent it from tilting, the anchor can't deploy. The strap around the mount and shank prevents tilting. The anchor normally sits fine in the mount without a load. The strap just protects against the anchor from deploying due to bouncing (waves or bumps in the road).

On my last boat, a 25' Atlas Acadia, I used a stainless steel snap hook the was fixed to plastic encased SS cable which was run thru the forward cleat and crimped in place. The bitter ends were encased in shrink wrap tube so as to not cause any chaffing or bow lines being wrapped around the same cleat. I made the set up long enough to reach around the Lewmar windlass and attach to the anchor chain when under way. When not in use it just layed there out of the way ready to be connected the next time. I found it to be quick and easy operation that if necessary could be connected / disconnected from the escape hatch on the bow alleviating the necessity to walk around to the bow.
