New Trailer Vendor

I recently upgraded trailers for Lochsa to a tandem axle from Gateway Trailers. They are a relatively new division of Gateway Materials. I have no interest in promoting them, but am very pleased with the trailer. This is their website:

Standard on all trailers is galvanization, torsion axles, electric disc brakes, LED lights. They will also customize any other feature you may want.

The single axle Magic Tilt trailer that my CD22 came with is for sale or trade. I am looking for a 15 hp-25 hp older tiller outboard for a 14' Bass Tracker.

Don't tease us...I like other want to see your boat on the new trailer in your photo album.
I looked at the trailer manufacturer's site and liked what I saw. A trailer with few moving parts and skids that are slick as a banana peel. The guides will certainly aid the C-Dory in getting it loaded without fiddling around to center it.
Lastly, are there electric components in the hubs for the brakes, or are they electric over hydraulic?

That's interesting, pure electric disc brakes. I have electric drum brakes on the travel trailer and they use an electric solenoid operating by friction through a lever to activate the leading, self energized shoe. So it doesn't take a lot of force to set drum brakes.

I would be interested to find out if there are pure electric disc brakes. Disk brakes aren't self energizing to my knowledge, and they take a lot more force to apply. For instance all motorcycles have gone from cable drum to hydraulic disc brakes. Journey On's trailer has electric/hydraulic brakes.

Of course, one quick peek will tell how those Gateway brakes work.

Are they really disc brakes? In the parts section of the web site, they show electric drum brakes like those found on travel trailers.

Gateway Materials sells drum brakes, but all of their trailers have disc brakes. I sent an email to Doug Miller who is their Lewiston Representative. His cell is (208) 305-1401. I suggested he introduce himself to Cbrats and answer your questions.
 
An excellent trailer is Loadmaster of Port Clinton, Ohio.
Built like a tank.
Mine has towed 12K miles and looks and pulls like brand new.
Roam has to be over 20K miles by this time.
