Just discovered this site and thought it would be worthwhile for a currently boatless father and soon to be grandfather. I'm very interested in the c-dory design and apparent seaworthiness and fish ability. The 16 certainly fits with my current space requirement. I have pondered the idea of a home built but just don't have the room to undertake it. Next choice is a well made and very safe alternative. I hope to glean some good info and insight into the c -dory brand here. In advance, thanks

Welcome. I'm sure you'll learn more than you could ever imagine about C-Dory's on this site. I too was going to resort to a home-built design until I stumbled on to C-Dory's.

Welcome, despite the rather dubious choice of screen name in today's environment...

You'll find lots of CD 16 info here. We'll help you find an ideal boat if you want it. Many of us have or have had one. Great little boats!

Merry Christmas, and welcome once again!

Welcome aboard. With grandchildren on the way, you might be thinking of a 22....better boat for taking those grandkids to Catalina! Certainly 16's get around and are great boats.

Thanks for the welcome. Hardly a dubious name, Cap'n. Just the handle of the most notorious halibut long liners of the Aleutians during the '70s. She took an errant kill shot from a .38 meant for an extra large barn door halibut right through the port gunnel, and the name stuck ever since. (No, I wasn't the trigger man, lol!)
Looking forward to learning more, chat soon....

No slight intended GS. Just glad it wasn't a 55mm deck gun!

Come back soon, most of us are very friendly! And trying to be "nice".
