HELLO TO ALL, first off i want to say that this is a great website, it has been very helpful to me already. my compliments to da nag & tyboo. i am new to c-dory's and i'm looking forward to picking up my cd 19, in auburn, in the latter part of august. i plan on cruising the columbia before departing the area. on my drive to the northwest, i'll be following the LEWIS & CLARK TRAIL. ( any LCTHF members in the pub ? ) any/all tips & advice will be appreciated. thanks , don

Congratulations on your new 19 Don!! You will find it a fine craft for sure... I am sure that you will have a great time up here enjoying a cruise or 2 with it! We have a couple C-Brats in your area and hope you guys get together and continue the C-Brat traditions in back there too.

I am fairly new to the C-Dory world so my advise about C-Dory's is limited but here goes. Find every screw or bolt hole that penetrates balsa and seal it, before it gets wet. Spend a day doing this and you'll save lots of time down the road doing bigger repairs. There's been lots of discussion on here as to how to go about it. Have fun.

Don, Congrats on the new 19. You are going to love it. :D Are you going to do some cruising in Puget Sound before you head for the Columbia? If so, and you want to have another 19 as company-give a yell and we can get together. There are at least 2 other 19's in the general area, and a fine group of owners I must say. Plus many C-Dorys of all sizes "live" in the Puget Sound area, all owned by the best darn boaters around. I am sure you have checked out all of the pictures in the photo albums to get ideas on set ups etc. And Tyboo Mike and Da Nag, well, they are the "Man" (or Men, or something like that.) Good cruising.
