No Longer a C-Dory Owner as of April 1

I guess this sale of the C-Rats to Brunswick happened at the appropriate moment in our boating lives. Today, Kate and I take possension of our brand new Nordic 37. Instead of going through the de-namning ceremony yet again, (both the 22 and the 25 were named Anna Leigh) we are naming the Nordic "Nonsense". We have been working with the company for the past 4 months on a special order power plant for her. 2/666 HP Cummins powered dual jet drive. The company has test driven the boat, WOT is 39 Kts on a full plane.
We have also bought a tender in a matching color. We have named that boat "More Nonsense".
The good news is that we have sold our stock in the brewery and were able to pay cash for the Nordic and tender. The other good news is that part of the deal with the brewery stock sale is that I still get free beer for life. So not only will I be able to keep up with the C-dorys at get-togethers, I will be able to continue to bring the beer.

Congratulations David and Kate!

Understand this is where you have been headed for some time, so am happy :D for you that you finally made it!

Enjoy!! Doug

PS It won't be the same around here without Anna Leigh logging in!

Timing is everything. There is a rumor going around that a boat manufacturer from Kent, WA, is in the development stage of a new boat with a C-Doryish look, designed around a jet boat hull (so there will be NO confustion with the CD)... and (this is the most amazing part) - it runs on BEER! While beer is currently cheaper than gas, David, with your lifetime free beer deal, you could have been running FREE!!!

So close!

Happy First Day of April to you,
Jim B.

Have you already bumped up the size slip at Lopez for Nonsense? How are you gonna fit in 27 feet with her?

Oh, but now you'll have room for plenty of kegs for the weekend, right?

Mac, I forgot to tell you the best part. They also have installed the new prototype of the telescoping hull. Sort of like the travel trailers that have pop out or slide outs. The hull telescopes to a smaller shorter size. Very cool.
