North Channel - Georgian Bay - Lake Huron

I hear you. The allure of places not yet seen can be
powerful until one remembers where you are is great,
all you need.

Being on northern Lk MI in summer (for us) is hard to
beat. Unsalted. Beaver Island archepeligo.
Mackinac Island, the Straights and gateway to the North
Channel. The Fox Islands. Charlevoix and the Lake.
Harbor Springs. Petoskey. Grand Traverse Bay with
Elk Rapids, Northport, Suttons Bay, Traverse City,
Power Island and Bowers Harbor. Leland of course.
Or cross to Porte des Morts and Door County.
All having great restaurants, scenery and ambiance.

No immigration. No exchange rates. No declaration
with Customs. No need to see all the cats in Zanzibar.
No kidding.

Aye.

We also just came back from a week on Lake Powell last month, another place I had been, but on a rented houseboat, and a desire to take my own damn boat! LOL. We had great, if not otherwise HOT, weather and enjoyed the trip. But as with the San Juans and the North Channel, done it, so no need to do it again. (Unless we move to the area! :-) Back to Door County next week, and maybe a cruise up to Fayette State Park. I can never get tired cruising around Door County. And with the high water levels, I wish we would have been able to get back to the Apostle Islands this summer, but with school bus driving starting back up soon, that'll have to wait until another time.
