On my 23 Venture I removed the 20 gallon water tank under the Port seat and put a 30 gallon tank under the V berth. I was very worried about too much weight forward also. The end result is a better trimmed boat that rides better. One of the best improvements I've made to my boat.

Greg – you are never too late.Dene":bbhfd8t2 said:I'm a little late to this discussion but I do have some input which I hope will be edifying. I own a 21' Campion Explorer with the Alaska Bulkhead, powered by a Volvo I/O. There is much I like about my boat, in particular it's speed, quietness, and handling in the rough seas. However, what I don't like is the cramp v-berth for sleeping (I'm 6'0") and the limited cockpit space, due to the I/O.
I've strongly considered the Venture 23 to be the replacement, due to it's finish, interior room, and hull configuration.
Those plans may become shelved. The 7' v-berth configuration is absolute genius!! Also, it appears the 215 has a similar hull to the Venture 23. Correct? Is it able to go 12 knots while keeping the bow down? I also like the 1st mate chair design with the swivel!
Other questions...
1. Is the interior going to be "finished, " i.e. wife friendly.
2. Chemical toilet. Please describe.
3. Price without power?
Well done Mr. Toland. You're building the most ingenious boat I've seen in years. I can't wait to see it in person.
