On the road... (and the good news is???)

Well, she IS beautiful! A few things that need to be addressed, and a skipper and first mate that need to get up to speed on all the "stuff". We got out for a bit today with Scott... the trailering, launching, and loading went very smooth. We didn't break anything, hit anything, and she floats... all in all, a very good first day. We dropped some $$ at West Marine this evening and celebrated the new boat with a nice meal out. The boat is spending the night at the factory... right next to Daydream, Pat... and we did give her a little pat for you... says she misses you, too.

Now, the decisions begin. Where to go, what to do? Joan is ready for some peace and quiet, so I think we'll haul south to see Dave; spend a day or two getting "moved in" and then go play with our newest family member.

Photos will follow when we get some time to kick back. Thanks to all for helping get us to this point... now, the next chapter can really begin. :D

Best wishes,
Jim & Joan B.

Here's a look...

Now to get some graphics (and registration numbers!!!) and start to get her set up for our uses. We'll start moving in today.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Beautiful boat, not a bad looking couple either. How exciting!!! Enjoy yourselves and if you want another newbie for company give us a holler, C-Cakes can be in the water most days and we'd love your company around the San Juans.

Congratulations Jim and Joan! Beautiful boat and lots of good times are in store for you I'm sure. But you don't look old enough to be retired . . .

I'd been recommending SpeedySigns to a few folks for registration numbers, but their prices are fairly high, and they'll only ship UPS which adds even more.

For Pee Wee, I took a chance on one of the cheapest places I could find online - and it paid off. Got the reg numbers sent USPS priority mail, arrived two days after ordering, and it's the exact material SpeedySigns used. They also included a handy plastic squeegee that made application a snap.

www.signspecialist.com is the place, here's a direct link to their boat registration number order page.

For graphics, Brad at Coho Designs has done several sets for people here, and I'm currently chatting with him about doing our next batch of C-Brat stickers. People seem to like his work - you can reach him at cohodesign@gmail.com

Congrats on the new boat!

Jim & Joan are snuggled in at Swantown Marina in Olympia. I had the honor of meeting them and Joan even let me hold a line when they launched the boat. What an incredible and beautiful couple. The boat is beautiful also.
