Ok I will be over nighting at cornet bay dock on wednesday night and leaving for halibut in the morning. I will not get peace and quite from susan unless I have someone with me. You know in case I fall in or something????????

So who wants to come with me. I have room for two. If you have not halibut fished and dont have the gear I can provide rod and reel for one person. I have lots of gear and weights for another. bring Ice and lunch.

sign up is on a first come first serve bases. oh and fishing for halibut is not my best skill set. I have gotten them in the boat but never one my line or when I am fishing for them.

Tom, I would love to. Would even drive over to do it but I am out for my first weekend on the boat, doing a service project with some men from church. Will be on the north end of Shaw if it all works out. Good luck, sure wish I could join you.

I would be on the road right now, except that I just put my wife on a plane for a cousin's wedding in Charleston, and I've got to do house/dog duty.

Take the dog! Tom likes dogs! Some breeds can smell Butts at 200'... Oh, you meant fish...

Hope you find someone Tom, I already bought you lunch so my seat would be paid for, if I weren't 2900 miles away!

Hi Tom. Hope the day went well and you managed to hook into one. I have fished halibut on friends boats with somebody who knew what they were doing but I am still in the dark and going to give it a try my self this year. Saturday is Sydney Anglers Salmon derby . 250 Tickets only and first place is 5 grand so up at the break of dawn for some fun. Good luck again tomorrow.

Was a great day on the water but no fish to be had by us. 5 huge crab but they wouldn't let me weigh them in. 250 entrants and 43 fish weighed in so slow going. A friend's boat won with a 22lb Chinook. 5 grand and also the side bet with 65 guys throwing in a hundred a piece so another 6500 on top. They were a bunch of happy lads. It was a great derby with lots of prizes and dinner both Friday and Saturday nights Good job Sidney Anglers Association. :thup
