While he hasn't posted here for awhile, I thought many of you might be interested in learning that Warren passed away earlier this month. I learned of this via an automated Google search for "C-Dory" and the notification with his obituary showed up in my email this AM.

I met Warren and one or another of the CBGT togethers and very much enjoyed talking to he and his wife Laurie. When I was interested in purchasing my current Tomcat, Warren was kind enough to take myself and my co-buyer out on his so we could all get a feel for how the boat operates. He will be missed.

This is very sad. Even thu I had not seen Warren in a few years we have fished , boated and shared meals many times . I still remember when I was teaching him to salmon fish in his or my 22, cant remember now, and I hooked a king on pink gear near the Mukilteo light house. I am yelling " dont net it, dont net it" Which of course he did not hear. he nets it and dumps it on the deck just like I had told him to do for pinks. He turned around with a big smile on his face and I was shacking my head. He shared many stories and meals at my house and while fishing and he will be missed.

Yes, just received notice of Warren's passing that's posted in our Skagit newspaper. Shared many fun boating experiences with him and Lori. Warren will be missed. The funeral service will be held on October 2nd, 2 PM, at Skyline Cabana. RIP!

Roger, Very sad news indeed. Thanks for letting us know. Our prayers.

Marie and I also spent many hours with Warren, some of it at Camp Thataway here in FL. He was instrumental in our buying the Tom Cat 255, as well as many other conversations. Warren had cochlear implants later in life which did help some to restore his hearing.

Rest In Peace!

Sad news. We first met Warren and Lori at a C-Brat gathering at Lake Powell in 2007. I admired his spirit. A lot of aural cues I take for granted when boating that he had to learn to work around. As with many active C-Brats, our paths crossed regularly after that first meeting. We shared boat and RV interests; he was curious about our experience RVing in Baja before they went down there the first time. I know they enjoyed spending winters in Loreto.

Our condolences to Lori and their kids. Warren will be missed. I will raise a glass to you this evening, my friend. The C-Brats have lost an enthusiastic family member.

This is very sad news for us. We spent many days boating with Warren and Lori. A few weeks in the Broughtons along with Discovery and C-Cakes comes to mind. Great times indeed. Rest in Peace my Friend.

Warren was a wonderful guy. He took me under his wing at a CBGT at Bellingham years ago when I travelled there solo on my 16 footer. It turned out that a close relative of his was athletic director at our son's high school in NJ. Warren always seemed to me like family on this site. He didn't hesitate to discuss anything, openly and honestly. May he rest in peace.

I knew of Warren before he was a C-Dory guy - I subscribed to Dr. Dobb's Journal, an esoteric magazine on computer programming, and Warren was a regular contributor. So sorry to hear of his passing.

Roger, Thanks for posting that notice. Warren was a good friend and though I never had a TC-255, we did share a room at one of the early Seattle Boat Show CBGT's and had a great time there. He was always a kind and helpful Brat, and helped me learn and get used to using this site. We did share a deep interest in travel, and it was always fun to catch up on where he had been last.

He will be missed. Prayers for Lori and family.

Gosh, I just saw this now, Thank you for posting this for us, Roger. I'm so sorry Warren has died. I didn't see him that much over the years, but I very much enjoyed hanging about and listening to him talk boats, computers, science, maybe world politics, and much more with several guys on the dock. I was always so impressed with Warren's intellect, and since he lived in Anacortes I always hoped he'd be able to attend any group cruise we'd planned. I'll miss him.
