Today, we commemorate the 69th anniversary of the Japanese attack on the U.S. Naval base at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii on Dec. 7, 1941.
I thank the veterans of the 'Greatest Generation" and all who continue to keep America strong and free
God bless and God bless the U.S.A.
Thank you indeed to all of you who did what was needed. It's getting to be a long time ago but we must never forget those who gave us our liberty against great odds. We owe much. God Bless all the veterans and people who serve. Thank you. George
Saw the flags at half mast today. Gave a salute, and remembered my visit to the USS Arizona, (among other things military related), and want to thank all those who served and gave.
The Admiral and I visited PH for the first time earlier this year. It was hard to imagine the scene during WWII. The oil visibly leaking from the Arizona was a stark reminder; like blood still flowing from the sailors.
I am saddened that today's generation have no idea of the sacrifice of their great grandfathers and great grandmothers.
For those who served- Thank you. For the spouses of those who served- thank you. For those who grew up not knowing a parent that was lost on a distant battlefield- Their sacrifice was not in vain.
