Phil Harris, Captain of the Cornelia Marie has passed.
I have enjoyed watching him, and the other Captains, on The Deadliest Catch.

We were priviliged to meet Phil here in San Diego when he was down on a promotion for "Deadliest Catch" Even got a pix of him with arm around Spousal Unit.

As Jeff said, he will definitely be sorely missed.

We met him at the Fred Hall Show in Long Beach a couple years back, nice guy.

RIP. He seemed like a hard-working & hard partying, down to earth, no B.S. kinda guy. WAY too young to pass away. He will be missed. My thoughts to his two sons....

We talked about Phil this morning during our shift crew meeting. He came to our station one evening and brought and prepared a "small boat load" of crab for us to devour. We certainly enjoyed the time we shared with him and will always remember him! He will be missed on the Deadliest Catch. We wish the best for his sons and crew!

What can I say? Phil lived a hard life but one few of us will ever come close to understanding or experiencing, and he was fortunate to die doing what he loved. If it wasn’t for the TV series he would have been just another statistic, fortunately he made a mark for himself and will be remember by all his loyal fans.
My heart goes out to his family, rest in peace Phil…..you will me missed.

He will be missed, and it will be hard on his family. They were definitely tight. Our prayers and sympathy for his family and crew.

On the Jay Leno show the other night - Josh Harris revealed his dad was smoking 9.5 packs of cigarettes per day. That's just incredible to me.
