Check out the two nice portlights Rollie has added to C-Batical!

Some of the C-Ranger folks will be taking a second look at the 22 Cruiser now.

Regards,

Fantastic.

I added shelves on both the right of the helm station and under the table on my 83 22' Angler. I am proud of them, but the quality isn't even close to Rollie's workmanship. Great job.

The shelf idea makes a lot of sense. A way to utilize space. It's a constant battle to organize things on such a small YACHT, and still have room for US.

While you're at it, be sure and take a good look at all the projects in C-batical's project album!

Great work!

Great fun for a retired Pharmacist!

Looks like a Woodshop Teacher with too much time on his hands project gallery! (LOL) (I've known some of both!)

Joe.

I am continually amazed at the talent and innovation shown by some of the C-Brat family. Nice work, Rollie. It is no mean feat to incorporate some of these features into a curving hull with scarcely two parallel surfaces to be found anywhere.

Oh gosh! You're right, Mark! If only I had seen theses pics of portholes on 22 ft cruisers before ordering a C-Ranger! Is it too late? John

Sharp-looking and practical! You can't have too much ventilation in berth areas. This would be a great "factory option". Thanks for sharing.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

That sure looks nice! I wounder if he could or would go any larger now in hind sight? Must be great on the hot nights. We had thought of ports in the hull just below the bump rale. Still to scared to do it though. Tony

Do they have screens?
It is hard to tell in the pics...

Not to knock the porthole idea, but if keeping cool on warm nights is a real issue, buy a 14" x 14" Endless Breeze 3-speed 12-v fan and mount it in the Bomar hatch above with a couple of sticks of wood, adding a bug screen. Uses about 1.2-2.6 amps (very little) of power, and cools almost like AC.

Or you could probably add a couple of computer fans to those small portholes to increase the air flow many times over.

Joe.

Hi Sea Lion:

The company listed screens in their catalog but they are out of stock. Unfortunately, they don't know when they will be available. I will be fabricating fit in screens from aluminum screening. The beauty of these portholes is that they provide cross ventilation that compliments the Bomar Hatch. Besides, I don't have to to leave my bunk to see what is going on dockside. .

Best regards,
Rollie/C-Batical
