Potential C-Dory owner looking for a ride in a C-Dory in PNW

Hello C-Brats. I am a retired University Professor and live in Corvallis, OR and have a vacation home on Anderson Island, WA. My fiance and I are looking to buy a used CD 22 Cruiser that we can use in the Sound. We like everything about the CD 22 Cruiser, however, neither of us have ever been on a C-Dory and I think it would be wise to go out on one either in the Sound or the Columbia River just to see how they operate and ride before we invest in purchasing one.

If there is any CD-22 Cruiser owners that would be willing to contact me via PM where I can give out my phone number and discuss the possibility of doing that, We would really appreciate it. There is no immediate hurry to accomplish this with the holidays approaching and everyone busy as well.

Thanks so much,

Terry Brown

Terry - If you don't find any takers with a CD-22, I'd be happy to take you out on my CD-25. I have it moored on the lower Willamette. It's not the exact same boat, but other than the head it may give you a good frame of reference for the ride / build.

I sent you a PM, but in case you do not receive, I am open to a ride on the Columbia, but it will have to be in the next two weeks as we are leaving for the winter soon.

Jerry took me out today for a cruise on the C NIle. We cruised the Columbia River. Thank you Jerry for taking the time to give me my first experience in a C dory. In a word, fantastic. Now I see why these 22 Cruisers are so popular. Now it looks like I am going to have to get serious about buying a CD 22!

Terry,

Glad you got a ride. The Columbia through Portland is very interesting. The C-Dory is a great boat for this time of year and the PNW. The 22 is a great boat. Come on up to the Seattle Boat Show CBGT (C-Brat Get Together) in January and meet the family. When you get a C-Dory you get membership in the greatest boating family in the world.

See you there,

Harvey
