prop question

Hi
I just put a new 16x13 prop on my cdory 25 with a honda 150. I had been running a 15.5x13...I like this prop and I get max rpms about 5700 so I don't think I'm over propped. I usually have 5 to 7 people on board so my boat is heavy. With this new prop I hear a "harmonic whine" ( for lack of a better word) from about 1600 rpms to 2000 rpms before it goes away...I wonder if the whine is something to be concerned about? Is there any problem running such a large diameter prop?

Had the same issue last time I got new props. Google "prop sing" and see if it matches up. I did a very light filing of the trailing edge on each blade and it solved the problem instantly. No need to remove much - just breaking the edge worked for me.
