Prop suggestion for new 90 hp Honda on 22 Cruiser

I have an '89 22 Cruiser that I am having a new Honda 90 installed on and I have been asked by the dealer what prop to install. Fortunately, it comes with a new SS prop and engine cover. I have checked the forums but I can't seem to get a definitive answer. I will do most of my cruising at sea level in the ocean and the San Juans. Could someone please suggest a prop size and pitch that would be a good choice for general cruising with an average load. Thank you.

Will the dealer let you try a couple? My guess is it's going to be in the 13x15 range, but it might even be a 17 pitch..

Don't forget to have a spare, including prop nut and thrust washer.
 
I have the same boat and motor as you,and run the stock alum13.5x 15 3 blade. I couldn't be happier with it. It maxes out at just under 6 k rpms and that's exactly where I'm told it should be. If that's what comes with the deal then that's probably a great place to start.
 
I run the 15" pitch at sea level and the 13" pitch at Powell (3700 feet).
The SS prop is going to be a bit faster than the Aluminum--less flex.

Agree with a spare aluminum prop nut washers and tools. I carry 2--the high altitude, an older 15" and the new one on the motor.

I also have a 89 22' cruiser and put a new 90 Honda on last year.
I ended up with a 4 blade alum. 13.75" x 15" prop.
I am on Lake Erie @ 580'

Like Dr. Bob, I use a 13 pitch at Powell and in the Oregon high country. My boat originally had a 17 pitch, but that is strictly a spare now. It's fine when at sea level and light, but our boat is never light these days. My normal prop is a 15 pitch 3 bladed stainless.
 
Other factors in selecting a prop
Do you boat light or heavy?
Is the OB mounted at the correct height?

I like Ken at PropGods for advice and his forum is very active and searchable
