query format

Folks, we are planning a trip to Maine in July. I want to query this blog to find out where others have gone. What would be the best way to format the search for this specific information? My searches are not working too well. Thanks, Larry.

I spent a few days in Bar Harbor, Maine and was intrigued by what was offshore.
Checking the coast from there SW to Portland looks very inviting for a round trip
summer or fall cruise. Some commercial cruise ships herald this coastal area
so it is a popular destination.

There are many cruising guides available for details of best ports, how to plan, etc.

It's on my "to do" list.

Aye.

The "search" function on C-Brats might or might not return the results you are looking for, but using Google might. Try an advanced Google search and specify C-Brats as the site. This will really let you narrow the search to what you are looking for.

Try copying and pasting this search into Google:

maine cruising OR boating -battleship site:c-brats.com

This will probably give you most of what you are looking for!

Between a cruising guide such as "A Visual Cruising Guide
to the Maine Coast ISBN:0071453288 by James L. Bildner

and Active Captain, you will find a lot of information on areas where to go. We spent an entire summer from early July thru September on the Maine Coast, starting with the Mount Desert Island, and just poked our way South. Lots of wonderful places to stop--and not far between anchorages.

A number of C Brats have second homes in this area--and hopefully will tell you there favorite.

We do not always post about our trips. In our photo album we have separate nested photo albums about the trips we have taken. You might also look at the brat map and try sending a pm. Widget and Rick from Maine are pretty knowledgeable. We launched from Belfast and Castine and Stonington, Vinylhaven, Isle de Haute, Winterport up on the Penobscot river were all nice places to visit. Belfast has decent restaurants, a great nice ramp, safe tow rig parking seemed like a great place to start. There is a lot more to see than what I have mentioned. Safe Travels
