Railmakers NW

I just got off the phone with Dan @ Railmakers NW. Last week I e-mailed him some pics of the engine well rail that some have had fab'd/installed on 25's, telling him I wanted him to fab one for 'Au Kai.

I called to confirm and see if he had the measurements needed. He tells me that coincidentally, he had just received four other requests from C-Dory owners for different projects in the past week. :thup

Boating season is approaching. 8)

I used to send people to Brooks Stainless in Anacortes. No more. He is more interested in motorcycles than in dinky boating stainless.

Glad to hear about Railmakers.

Railmakers did a fantastic job for me building a tall arch to replace the short arch that came on PLAYIN' HOOKY. The truly amazing thing is that I was able to draw a template of the hole pattern and send it down to them and they matched it perfectly on the new tall arch so I didn't have to mess around filling and drilling new holes. Dan does very good work.

And if anyone in Alaska wants a short arch for a 22 I have one for sale cheap, to a BRAT.

Last year we ordered a tall radar arch for our 22 cruiser and Dan and his crew were great to work with. They even met me on Camano Island on a Saturday to deliver the arch to save me some drive time (I'm up in Bellingham). Next time I need any rail/arch work done I will be giving them a call.

It's just good that in these tough times, they have work and are still in business. Plus they are a local company, employing local people. My brother had a bow pulpit and helm guard fab'd; both were first rate quality.

My contact with Railmakers NW has always been through David, but it sounds as if we all share the same positive experience with the company. I found their work to be high quality, the fit to be perfect and the customer relations to be outstanding. Add in the fact that I was working with them long distance; I could not have been more impressed.

Regards to all,

Greg
