Les: Glad to see you back on the site! Have enjoyed reading your post on this. I need to say for Marc that he was disadvantaged by the water conditions, or lack there of...very flat.... the only day I could make it down to FL to get me my 1st ride on the CR-21. Yep, we talked about the guys who have toured in Alaska in the boats had to hit some of every type of water imaginable....and the boats being "molded" after the Bristol Bay would surely allow this boat to follow it's lineage and ride true in ruff waters. My assessment on the ruff waters was viewed from the point if I had 4 guest on the boat, with one or two of them on the aft bench seat or on the motor box....the spray may be of concern...but even that could be fixed with some simple modifications. We did take spray into the aft sections, and, if your company were "dry" clothes...just going down to the docks for dinner, there may be some issues. At the same time, we talked of how nice the low to the water gunnels were for getting fish, shrimp nets (down here), shrimp baskets (up there)...and other items in over the sides. I can not wait to take up the offer to come back out and get her out in some nasty waters by some old C-Salty Navy friend of mine up in the Oak Harbor area. Yep, I think this boat is a winner and you have to love that fuel economy too.....
Les, Thanks for your post. It is truly great to see you came out of the shop and got out on a boat.... wish I could have made it. That seem to be an issue with Marc too... Yall need to commit to a once a month 4 hour period of "gotta get out on the water so we remember why we do this kinda work for these boat loving folks" ride...
Heading north in a few hours.... so may be off for a few days
