Ranger Tugs

I want to start by thanking the administrators and the members of the C-Brats for allowing C-Ranger to continue to participate on this site. As both a consumer and a marketing minded person, I understand the value of having the kind of information that is available on the C-Brats website. I do not know of another owners group site that shares the kind of passion that our owners share for their boats. On a personal note I am very excited to continue to communicate with both C-Dory and C-Ranger owners. I have become friends with many of you over the last few years and look forward to the next c-brat gathering. I will continue to participate on this site and will strive to keep the flow of information coming from the Ranger factory.

Here are a few facts about us.

Ranger Tugs has been in business since 1958.
John and Dave Livingston purchased the business in 1999.
Dave Livingston originally designed the Livingston dinghy in 1965.
More boats have been built that Dave Livingston designed than any other designer in the world.
Ranger R25 was designed and built from the ground up by the Livingston family.
There are 33 employees at Ranger Tugs.
We build 11 boats per month.
we have an open shop policy, stop by and say Hi!

I have always made my cell phone and e-mail available for anyone to contact me. Please feel free to drop me a line.

Ranger Jeff....

WwwHHHOOOOOOAAAaaaaaa!!

I like that.

Glad to see you made it and are still kicking after the boat show season....and there are still a few left.

Sorry you again did not get to drop buy during your travels. One day, we will make that happen...

Please pass on to Mr. Dave Livingston that I truly missed seeing him at both the Seattle and Miami show this season. What a great time we had the 1st year the 1/2 Tug was in Seattle and we just sat on a gunnel and talked boats. That was way better than seeing Al Gore get an Oscar.

Jeff,

It's good to hear from you and, of course, you are always welcome here!

In even the few times that you met with Marcia and me, we could tell that you truly cared about your customers and we appreciated having that friendly, if busy, guy at the factory upon whom we could depend.

Good luck with the C-Ranger!

Best regards,

Nick and Marcia

Hey Ranger Jeff....good to "hear" your voice!

As a point of interest......if I'm not mistaken the Livingston Dinghys have been a common fixture on the ferry boats of the Washington State Ferry Fleet for many years...........Is that correct?

OK Jeff.... A little QC is in order here.... the address above???? or did you mean to have your profile reflect all your info each post...  :thup :smiled

Sorry Man... I could not pass that up.

Byrdman.. :xnaughty

Howdy Jeff -

Certainly great to see you on here. Please
give my regards to Dave - Dave and I were stationed together back to Sanford, Florida, a whole bunch of years ago!!

Dusty

Welcome, Jeff! I still have, deep down in the recesses of the back corner of my mind, this notion that one day, you will put Pat and Patty into a Ranger tug - whether an R25 or something larger (when we cash in the house in Fall City!). Will no doubt be regretting we let that 2005 SBS deal go!

Hello Gang,

Byrdman you are too sharp for me. Thank you for keeping me on my toes and being there when I need someone to talk at.

Dusty, good to hear from you. Dave is sitting here at the drawing table and i passed along your greeting. He says hello.

Dave S. You are correct. For many years the Livingston dinghy was used on all of the Wa State ferries as the life boat. Well made and super stable.

Nick and Marcia, Thank you for the nice words. Great to hear from you.

Caty, What can I say but thank you. You guys are great!

You all make my job fun and rewarding.

Thank you,

Jeff

Badge! Heck, Ranger Jeff needs a Ranger Hat.

Jeff, Good to hear from you. Happy that you will remain a part of this wonderful group of boating nuts. I am going to take you up on the Open Shop and drive on up to the factory one day soon and check things out. You don't mind if I stop at the fly shop first do you, Ranger?

Robbi

Pat,
You know that I won't give up on you and Patty. We have some fun stuff planned in the near future.

Thanks Fred. It feels good to be part of the family. I look forward to having a cold one with you this spring.

Hello Robbi, That is pretty funny, but I like it! Please do stop by soon. Will you take me to the fly shop with you. I would love to see what you are using on the resident silvers and cutthroat.

Ditto for Lori and me, at least for if and when we move to a bigger boat in the 35-40' range. At the SBS Boats Afloat this boat caught my eye, but I would certainly be interested in a comparable offering from Ranger Tugs.

OTOH, I've heard innumerable times (and observed firsthand) that people with smaller boats use them more, so I may well stay with my Tom Cat.

Jeff,
Thanks for the "heads up" from C Ranger and I am sure that you will provide the same excellent level of customer interaction you provided to me at C Dory to those who buy C Rangers!

Jeff, you ROCK! I suddenly remember why the Ericksons only buy boats from Jeff. And by the way, in honor of your new title (Ranger Jeff) Chris picked up a used Livingston dingy this weekend. :D
Hope to see you very soon!

Warren: Cool link on the trawler.... I really liked the secondary page where you could add the options you wanted....and it would re-total your vessel cost. That is what we all do anyway when looking at a boat. It also listed the standard features that were now included...which at one point may have been an option... I can see this for C-Dory now....

Blow-n-Go Form Interior with non-working forward facting seat and loss of storage..N/C

Custom cabenits and one week production delay: $1000

I only added about $ 38,490 of accesories.... WOW...that is starting to look like my wonderful wives closet!!!!

Great link that should be on all factory sites.

This C-Brat makes the proposal that all Factory Sites provide factory accesory add on sheets as to better get a feel for the real cost of a vessel...

:beer Here :beer Here....

It is now Brat-law!!
