Can somebody with a 19ft. and twin Hondas 50hp. tell me what props they have found best
I have tried 11 1x2 by 14 and found I can only get 4000 rpm
tried 12 x 11 and seems to slow to get up on plane and have to run about 5500rpm to get 23mph.
I am confused as spec for 22ft says 11 1x2 by 13 and on the 16 it says 11 3x4 by 13. What are you people using.

You're probably a little on the cutting edge there, George - not too many folks with a 19 and twins yet, I'm guessing.

That being said, when I had my 19 (with a single), I found all engine/prop decisions mirrored what the 22 folks were using.

Were it me, I'd search the archives here, and find which 4-blade props the guys are using with twin 50's on the 22's, and start from there. There seems to be pretty wide agreement that the 4-blade props are smoother, with more punch out of the hole.

George --

Your numbers are confusing the heck out of me! You're trying to use a two blade propeller? I was unaware Honda had any.

My Honda 50 came with a 03x11.1x13 (blades x diameter x pitch) wheel on it. That propeller will pull 6000 rpm with two of us aboard and full tanks and not much else.

I picked up (to try and for a spare if nothing else) a 04x10.5x13 wheel which I mounted earlier today for trials later this week. I expect it to run about the same.

Hello chuck. Sorry did not want to confuse anybody

Her are the proper dimensions

3x11 1/4 x14
3x12x11
3x11 1/4x13 These came initionally with the motors, but I switched to 3x11 1/4 x 14 . I had to much cavitation with the originals ,at the time I had an aluminum 18 ft hull, that is why I have all these props. When I finnally get it right,I can probable have a garage sale

You're a candidate for those composite propellers which you can set +\- 2" of pitch. Someone will recall the name, but I think there 4" of pitch to play with. You can get a 14" pitch and set it in inch increments from 12" to 14".

Problem is you need two!

Propulse makes the adjustable 4 blade comp props
http://www.propulse.se/

The pitch adjustment on mine is 15 to 19 inch for a 115 hp Yamaha. If I remember right it's sold as a 16 to 18 pitch but supports two unadvertised adjustments detailed in the documentation.
