Recent topics: Doubling up?

For the second time in the last few weeks, when I look at the Most Recent Topics list, I notice that some are listed twice. Right now there are three topics doubled up like that. These are topics that were listed only once yesterday. It's not someone accidentally hitting the enter key twice.

Has anyone else seen this? No, I am not self-medicating nor starting the New Year's celebration early!

Regards,

Nick

Have a great NEW YEAR!!

Okay, okay.

I knew that I would get beat up on this one! However, one brat did PM me to admit that he has seen it, too.

Warning: clicking on the second topic might transmit you into a parallel universe!

Okay, I just posted proof in our album that I am not losing it. Page 5, last item!

Note that Klean Heat Shelf Life and Gas Sheen on Water are apparently multiplying!

Nick, Nick,

I I see see the the same same thing thing. But but I I have have been been cooking cooking with with wine wine for for most most of of the the day day!!

Seriously though, I do see the same thing with some topics posted twice on the front page under the side bar "Most Recent Topics". Interestingly though, although the same topic subject is posted twice, it has two different topic ID's. For example the topic - "Klean Heat Shelf Life" has two topics IDs 7729 and 7731 (the topic ID's are displayed in the URL). 7729 is the real thread, 7731 didn't yet exist when I clicked on it.

I'm sure Bill will get on this at some point and will find a problem.

Here's a perfect example of two retired guys with too much time on their hands.

I promise, no more "It's baaaack" posts.

I think what you are seeing is the moderator moving posts from one forum to another. Whenever there are duplicates, one will be empty and the other will be in a new forum.

Sounds plausible, but I'd think a moderator would have the sense to eliminate the original thread.

Test it. Put a kicker thread in the galley forum and see what happens.
