Got my boat back yesterday. Water tube, pressure relief valve, anodes replaced. Pissing like a champ. Ran vinegar through other port engine all day. Pulled corroded anodes. Have to run it hard now to blow out some gunk when weather improves.
Not being a confrontional type, I was reluctant to approach the initial mechanic on the lousy job they did, but now, armed with photos that proved it, I paid him a visit and asked for compensation, half of what I had paid him. Walked out with a check for $800.
Also, beyond belief, the Suzuki Maintenance Manual makes absolutely no mention of internal anodes. It has complete instructions on how to disassemble and reassemble the power head, but no mention of anodes.
