We have posted some pictures and a bit of the story of the recent San Diego Gathering on our website:

Sure was a good group of folks and a great time. Sorry about Steve's health problem, but that's behind him now.

El and Bill,

Very nice write-up. So nice in fact, I had to stop and realize I was there too. You made it sound like a dream, which, well, maybe it was...!

Thanks for putting it so eloquently and great pics. Hope to see you at more gatherings in the future.

Looks like ot was a lot of fun.
I sure would like to make it down that way someday...
Thanks for sharing...

When we were in Sandy Eggo a few years back, we rented a go-fast boat at the little boat rental place across the street from the Del, and toured the Bay on our own...but they restricted us from going outside the Bay. Sure wish we could have been there, looks like it was a blast!

Last time I was there I was on an aircraft carrier and they wouldn't even let me on the bridge. Looking forward to your write-up Bill.

Great writeup, even better was meeting the World Famous bow thruster El and the rest of the gang. I hope it won't be the last. Coincidentally, while checking in at the marina I met a retired Navy type who not only owns a C-Dory, he uses it as a CG Aux patrol boat on the bay. Oddly enough, his last name was Anderson too. Invited him to the site and the gathering but he doesn't do internet and had other committments.

Maybe we should get us our own forum, Uncle Don...

I don't know, Pat. The Andersons proudly refer to you as "The Family Brewmaster" but you've already outed yourself on here in regard to your "other" profession and that's still a source of embarrassment to some of the more bigoted family members, much to my surprise. I thought the Andersons got over professional distaste when Great Grandpa Bob became Lt. Governor of California in 1856.

Picture update, dated 8/24/06 taken at the 9 mile bank just a hop and a skip (10-13 miles) from the entrance to San Diego bay. This one was about 130 lbs. No, not from a C-Dory, unfortunately.

Time to start working on making my fantasy reality !
