Sandy aftermath- the boats

I am always amazed at what boats look like post storm, and even wonder about what it would take to get some of them back into running condition. Because obviously somebody buys the salvage vessels. I wonder how many of them ever see the water again?

One of my guilty pleasures is to peruse the boats listed on yachtsalvage.com.

Since it's cold and dreary for so many of us, I thought maybe having another site to look at, waster time and wonder about might be worthwhile.

I've often wondered if it wouldn't be just plain fun to buy a boat like the sailing catamaran that ran aground and lost the front lower two thirds of the hulls and have it shipped to someplace nice and parked on a foundation and use it as a home. How cool would that be!!
