Sea Angel life report

Art --
We hold you in our thoughts -- best of good luck and medical skills when they re-examine you and determine the best course of action. Keep us all posted and stay optimistic -- the sun will shine in the morning, and know there are many holding you close in our prayers.

Art,
Thanks for the update. Glad you were able to get out and make another good memory. Our prayers will be with you as you return for a re exam, and I bet one of the good things they find in there will be a bit of salt water running through those veins. Best wishes for a quick return of "Sea Angel" to the Bay. You are an inspiration to many of us. God Bless,

Harvey & Deena

Art, glad you're doing OK, thanks for the update.

Take care of that "heart thingy" and let us know the outcome of your checkup. As you can see, we're all pulling for you! :hug :love

My father recently underwent heart surgery. It was an emergency operation that was (somewhat) unexpected. This was just over the summer. We are now planning on a family trip to Disney land. :disgust I did ask my mother if he was cleared and good to go. The doctor gave him a :thup and a clean bill of health.
In life we are tested, occassionally to make changes to our lifestyle so that we may continue to live life. You and your entire family has our prayers. I know how trying this time is - but with prayer, the support of great friend, and let us not forget the many nurses, doctors, and all those in the health field that help to put us back together again, you will be back to enjoying the spice and bouquet of many years to come!
God bless!

Art,

Why not plan on coming up to Rock Hall for our gathering in June (6,7,8)..even if you don't bring the boat..Just drive on up, and spend the weekend with the best medicine outside of Johns Hopkins...about 60 C Dory people!

". . . . and all those in the health field that help to put us back together again, you will be back to enjoying the spice and bouquet of many years to come!
God bless!

Hi All;

Here it is Sept. 03, 2011 and we are still blessed to be around.

The minor challenge of today was the C80 appeared dead, thus no RADAR or chart plotter. The Garman worked great as did the autopilot.

Today we had an adventure to travel abt 40NMs to Norfolk Harbor and meet with the owner of my old 1988, 18' SeaRay bowrider OB.

The Chesapeake Bay had <1' waves and a light breeze from the East as we traveled from Lynnhaven Bay to the Elezabeth River., Norfolk. We saw a Ranger 25 enroute but did not get her name. There was a lot of chatter on the radio so I did not get a chance to call her.

I had sold the SeaRay ( just before I bought my C-Dory 25 in 2004) to a friend who passed away and it was bought at an estate sale by a fellow church member. He had the 2cycle 135HP Merc powerhead rebuilt and it looks and sounds good. Seeing the SeaRay was like bringing closure to one adventure while remaining focused on a new one.

Of course I did take a couple of pixs to post on the Sea Angel Album.

Before returning to the Home marina, Marina Shores Marina, our 2 boats rafted up at Hospital Point and enjoyed a wonderful visit. I think I may have sold the 'First Mate' on buying a C-Dory after the SeaRay. Now, that could be a planting and harvesting of a seed.

We returned to our marina without any problems and in reasonable comfort on the Bay as the swells started to build to abt 2+' with the East winds freshing. Once at the dock I tried one more time with the RADAR/C80. I disconnected the power and RADAR data cables from the rear of the C80 and re-seated them. WOW, It came to life. My first attempt when underway did not work, but this did. Now, all systems are go again. :D

Life retains its little pimples. I count my blessings every day and rest in the peace that I have received. Stuff happens to stuff. Soooooo why get upset? Only to welcome someone to your 'pitty party'. So enjoy the moment at the present, for it is a present for that moment.

Blessings to All and enjoy many following seas,
Art

Art - It's always nice to hear from you on the site. Glad to hear things are still going fine and that you're enjoying every day to the fullest. Thanks for the sage advice.

Art, so much for the electronics. How is the "heart thingy"??

OK, we all hope!! :rose :love

Want a TomCat? I happen to have an extra one on hand... :disgust

I might take a 25 in trade, never had a 25.... Don't tell Sally I said that or I'll have heart problems too.... Just jesting...

Hope to get down there before the weather turns to worms again, how did the storm treat you? We were in San Diego for much of it, generator running here, pets/house sitter safe, dry and happy!

Best to you and your bride!!

Charlie

Art,
I missed seeing you yesterday, as I too was cruising in Hampton Roads and in the Elizabeth River near downtown Norfolk. I did see a Rosborough named T-TIME that I had not seen before.
Just remember that my dock is always available to you if you ever decide to overnight near downtown Norfolk area.

Hi Art, Glad you all are out using your C-Dory and enjoying Her. We have thought about you all a lot, hope that someone will have another boat cruise up there again. That was very nice for you & your wife to meet us and furnish Snacks & Water at our stop at the Dismal Swamp where we spent the night. We will never forget it. Jim & Sandy Jessup (Pandy Girl)

Jim & Patty;

It was our pleasure. We looked forward to making he trip, but Jan had eye surgery on both eye and there were complications, so we thought it best that we should not take the chance. All did turn out Ok after several operations and weeks of recovery. All is normal, now. Thank the Lord.

We're looking forward to meeting everyone at some future time, even if all we do is bring supplies again.

P.S.
I have been replacing my 2 XP systems with WIN7 and it is taking a lot longer than I hoped. I'm way behind on all the mail and workups.
