Setting up,a trailer for CD 22

Our new (1994) CD 22 Angler has a bunk style trailer, and I'd like to make sure that the bunks are positioned correctly. Right now the bunks are positioned roughly 8" inside of the chines. Does anyone know if this is correct, or is there a "stronger" area where the bunks should be located?
Also, there are no rollers anywhere at the keel, just one "v" roller at the bow winch, and the bunks are roughly 8' long.

We also had a roller at the very aft center of the trailer frame, to avoid the bow from hitting the frame. The 8" in sounds fine. There is no specific strengthening area--the best braced area is the outside chines, because of the hull acting as an "I" beam.

Thanks Bob...this trailer has V shaped crossmembers with plastic guards to prevent the keel from striking them. I just wasn't sure if the bunk placement was correct, and offered enough support.
Thanks!

We have a tandem axle Pacific with no rollers. Works great. We've found that it's easiest to launch and recover at ramps that have a more shallow angle as opposed to steep ramps.

Also, if your trailer doesn't have long side guides, you'd be wise to check into a set. They add lateral support while trailering and make getting her on the trailer a lot easier, especially when the wind is blowing.

Yep!...I plan to fab up a set of side boards, that, and getting the controls slicked up will make loading a breeze.
