Signature... sometimes?

I imagine it's something I'm doing, but haven't figured it out yet.

I have a simple signature set in my profile.

I typically write a post... hit the "Preview" button (the signature is there)... then hit the "submit" button... and when my message actually posts, it often doesn't have the signature...? A few of my posts have the signature, but most do not. It's possible I did a slightly different sequence the time(s) it succeeded... maybe I just hit "Submit" without doing a preview, for example. I don't know.

I'm going to submit this one without previewing and see what happens. I normally like to preview, though... especially since we have the time limit on editing.

By the way, I do not mess with any of the check boxes during the normal course of posting a message (I see that there's an "attach signature" checkbox... it's already checked and I don't mess with it.

The software is set to show a person's signature only once per page of message posts. This is so the larger signature blocks do not overwhelm the screen.

Your signature will show up in your first post in a thread on any given page. It is so much simpler than trying to limit the size of signatures or telling folks they can't use pictures.

Haha - ok, now that you explain it, it makes sense!

I've never seen that in a forum before, so I was only relating to my experience. If that's explained somewhere, I missed it.
