This is the area I fish in the summer, The rumor was that the Capt. of the boat was a young guy who had saved up $$$60,000 to purchase the old boat & license. On his first trip it sprung a plank and promptly sank..bummer, at least the fishing permit is worth about $33,000. The good thing is the fleet is usually packed together so help is not far off. Word was, he noticed water around his feet, made a call for help and was in the water less than five minutes later. I'd say the rescue vessel did a fine job of staying calm and controlled.
