Skagit Orcas

Any chance you can put together a bulletin board similar to this one for your Orca customers?
Greetings, and welcome to the site!

This site is not run by, or financially supported by C-Dory Marine. While many folks here would consider the fine folks at C-Dory our friends, we're not affiliated with them in any other way, other than as satisfied customers.

The above being said, anyone is welcome here. While your's is the first Skagit Orca or Olympic question posted here, if there's sufficient interest amongst owners of these C-Dory Marine manufactured boats, I'd be glad to set up discussion forums for you.

In the mean time, you are probably better off contacting the factory directly for support and/or parts. Assuming the Skagit Orca division is like the C-Dory division, they don't have a good track record when it comes to email response - calling them up has always been the best method for us.

Thanks for the quick response and for clearing things up. I salute the investment you have made in putting together this bulletin board. It inspires me to do the same for the Orca boat.

Just curious: did you ever consider vbulletin as your choice? And, if so, what features phpBB attracted you?

Yes, I looked at vBulletin, along with UBB, yaBB, and a few others.

My main reason for not going with vBulletin is philosophical; I'm a strong proponent of Open Source software and the GPL license. vBulletin is a commercial product with more restrictive licensing.

phpBB's growth has been very strong, and it has a tremendously active development community. From what I can see, it has by far the widest support. The number of user contributed modifications is huge; between these and direct tweaks to the source code, I've been able to extensively modify this site with relative ease.

Yup...I'm a fan.
