Slide Show - Wandering the IP to Alaska

Wandering the Inside Passage to Alaska is a narrated slide show with music in the background. The show is an account of a cruise Wanderer made this summer.

It is 41 minutes long.

In order to view the show, you must download it to your hard drive. It is a 138 meg executable file. With an internet cable connection, it took me 4 and 1/2 minutes to down load the file. A dial-up will take much longer.

Click on the link below and you will have the opportunity to run or save each two files. I suggest that you save them. The first link is to a very short Word document with directions. Those directions are repeated below. The second link is the show. You will see the link to the download area on the home page.

If you choose to view the show, let me know how it goes.

1. Find the file, Inside Passage 061030.exe, on your hard drive.
2. Enable your speakers and adjust the volume.
3. Double-click on the file name. The show will begin. However, a few housekeeping chores will make for an uninterrupted showing.
4. Set your screen saver so that it does not kick in for at least one hour
5. If on a laptop, set power management so that it does not go into sleep mode for at least one hour.
6. Touch Space Bar to pause and to resume.
7. Touch ESC key to terminate. Once terminated, you must start from the beginning.

George...You Da Man

Outstanding presentation and so enjoyable. You made me feel like I was there with you...almost. Thank you so -very much for sharing with us all.

I will be passing this show around to all my boating friends to show them just how great the C-Dory is for discovering our outstanding Blueways.

My best to Penny.

Susan and I just watched your show and it was great. really loved the whole thing. I went back too the link after the show to email it to my father inlaw and if was gone. now there is a link to your site with a link to the show but no show just the directions twice. How do I get back to the show??

George & Penny – I must be missing something. When I click on your link, I am taken to your home page. There is the link "Inside Passage Slide Show". When I click on it I get the Slide Show directions page with two links. They are "Directions" and "Wanderind the Inside Passage to Alaska". It doesn’t matter which I click on, I get the download file with the directions on it. No link to the Inside Passage 061030.exe file.

Just got back from the Naples Christmas Boat Parade and didn't get run over by Santa and his Raindeer....another good day.

Glade you got it fixed George....

Dave,

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

It is hard to get good help these days. The help I got can't read.

Sorry. I think it is fixed now. Thanks for calling the problem to my attention.

Well, thanks a lot, George - now I can never show MY slide show of my Alaska pix, looks so damn amateurish next to your professional production! And would you mind narrating mine? Seriously, this is AWESOME - I think C-Dory ought to have it on continuous play at the Seattle Boat Show...Well done! (And I see Penny finally learned what a REAL crab is!!!)

I gotta agree with everyone else. Awesome is an understatement. Very well done and superbly narrated. I wanted to know who caught the But. Sure looked tasty.

Your link has been passed on. Perfect for watching on a dark and stormy night with a fire and a glass of wine.

There is no way for us to adequately describe just how fantastic this presentations is. This and all the other post thanking George and Penny are understatements. We urge all who can to take the time and enjoy this gift from George and Penny. You guys are going to be a hard act to follow.

You lived it---THANKS for lettings us share!!

Thanks also to El and Bill for urging you to make it available to the rest of us.

As others have said, can't put this documentary of your trip, George and Penny, into words that adequately describe the emotions, feelings and excitement you have put together and experienced first hand. It's nearly a religious experience! My family and I will share and treasure your presentation for years to come. Thank you.

Looks like a trip to Alaska just bubbled up the priority list a couple of notches...

"Magnificent" doesn't quite do justice to it. We enjoyed your presentation very much. We miss the beauty of that part of the world and you brought some of it back to us. Thanks so much for sharing!

George and Penny,

What a wonderful piece of work you have put together. Making it even more special is that we met you both in Anacortes before your trip, and then made the same trip to many of the same places as you up as far north as Meyers Chuck. We met up with Naknek and Halcyon several times on our trip, but somehow missed you.

Thanks for putting this together and sharing it with us.

My wife ands I sat and watched the slide show together this afternoon. Your presentation is absolutely stunning. I am grateful that there are still places left with so much natural beauty.

Thank you for bringing it to us.

George and Penny-

Absolutely fabulous production! Incredible beauty and fine presentation. Enjoyed it immensely. Hope to meet you in person sometime soon! Joe.

From a Canadian that enjoys fishing north of Prince Rupert, Thank you so much.
Great trip and a great slide show.
By next spring I will have a 22' angler for our fishing trip.
People like yourselves and other C-Brats got me interested in owning a C-Dory for use on the west coast.
Thank you again
Ed
