Hi C-Dory Captains & First Mates,
Who knew owning a C-Dory would be so much fun? And that we'd meet such nice people we can now call friends!
Purchased C-Trek from Fred & Pat Misserly (Red Lion, PA) this past year. We dock at Mid-Lakes Marina in Macedon, NY on the Erie Canal. Took a group trip to the Genesee River in Rochester for July 4th celebration. Had never seen the fireworks up close and those that went off on the water were simply awesome!
Boat is renamed "SNICKERS", my favorite candy bar and to make our Erie Canal trips a little more fun, we pass out mini snickers to each Lockmaster (and with each boat card we pass out we also give a candy bar). Believe me, folks remember us!! We've only ventured out a few times this year - Newark, NY is a beautiful little port; even got to meet one of the mural painting artists; we've driven all the locks to Baldwinsville, NY and plan to drive to Buffalo before we sadly cover the boat for the winter. Our hope is to trek the entire length next summer from Buffalo to Albany and to stop in each of the little towns that line the Erie Canal. More later . . . Happy end of season boating for those located in the northeast!!
