I don't think 5200 will adhere to starboard very well.
 
I may have to use wood or thru bold, did not really want to put too many holes in the boat
 
Dotty and I spent a beautiful day out on Lake Washington.Took the Mr. Buddy heater with us but didn't need it. Met a nice old guy (younger than us!) at the ramp. He was trying out the '81 Arima 17 footer he just bought. We got to talking at the ramp well into the dark. All in all a very satisfying day.
 
Trying a little crabdigging today with Jamie and Erica on board. Two pots soaking and one little one tied to the boat at anchor. Got one legal in it is all. Getting breezy so we will probably make a short day of it.
 
Went out for about two hours this morning and caught 4 nice trout and 2 blue fish (for the smoker). When I got back to the dock I pulled the crab trap and there were about 15 crabs in it and shrimp scattered everywhere. Going back in a few minutes to harvest some shrimp. Life is good and weather is beautiful.
 
The tide turned early and I had a feeling it might get a bit rough on the ebb, so we pulled 'em up and quit. We only got nine, but most of them are biger than the gauge. Really nice ones.

Well! It finally happened! Yesterday we took the 22 CD R-MATEY out on Lake Whatcom for its maiden launch. Dick and Julie also of Bellingham who have a 22 CD (HOBBeS) joined us at the launch ramp. What fun. Hadn't been out on the water since last August when we went to Sucia on the 19CD...not realizing that would be our last trip out on our beloved 19.

It was great sharing the experience with Dick & Julie. Many thanks to these wonderful folks for taking the photos of us out there on the lake.

Well, it's kinda like this....I'm looking for them. I did get them downloaded but I have a new computer and I know they're in this machine...somewhere. I also transferred 'stuff' over from the old computer and did find the last photos taken of the 19. All this technology. Wow!
 
Hey Joe and Ruth,

Congrats on your first outing with the NEW R-Matey! August to January... that's a LONG time to go without some water time. We have no doubt that this was VERY fulfilling for you. Like Roger, we'll patiently await photos... after all, we know you understand that patience virtue.

Pulled the boat out of mothballs and installed the shore power/battery charger system. Cleaned C-Quest up and put the cover on her, just waiting for the right day to take her out on the delta.
 
Not with my C-Dory, but with the tow vehicle:

Driving down to town with the ferry traffic, I have to make a sudden stop when someone decides to make a left turn off this 2-lane road. Stop just in time to keep from running into a cargo box van ahead of me. The chubby gal behind me -- cell phone glued to her ear, mullet, skinny boyfriend wrapped all around her -- was not so quick.

Minimal damage to my truck. Will need a new bumper and work on the left lower rear quarter panel. Ike freaked out, was shaking like a leaf.

Warren, hopefully you suffered no injury in the collision. I'm certain that the young cell phone talking, being hugged by her "skinny boyfriend" girl won't be driving that car again.
 
Glad you and yours are safe. One more proof that driving distracted is dangerous!

Sure glade you were not injuryed. But if I remember correctly...I don't think I would be throwing the term "chubby" around to much....it could come back to stick on you. :wink In our part of the country we refer to these young ladies as pleasently plump.
 
Sorry to hear of the damage to your truck, Warren, but glad you (and Ike) were uninjured. As you're aware, I now have some experience with the repair situation... certainly, the right body shop can make a difference. We went with a "preferred shop" recommended by the insurance company that gave us a lifetime warranty on the repairs. Stuff can be fixed. Unfortunately, stupid (referring to the cell phone girl) is more difficult to overcome.

Glad to hear you were not injured.Also glad the boat was not behind your' truck, that could make for some nasty, time consuming repairs.
 
Nyaaaa, that'll "buff right out!"

Anyway, to keep the thread on track, I pulled the teak doors off the cockpit cabinet and I am sanding on them as they were peeling varnish (1 year old!)
In the next week or so Levitation will be off to the tent and awning company for cockpit canvas...
Then I need to tackle the bototm paint, the radar, and the generator...
At the rate I am going, spring may beat me...
 
Got a Christmas give installed and I am now enjoying digital over the air tv broadcast while on the water. Of course I don't have the channel selection of "Follow Me" satilite TV but when you have Hank Hill...who cares.
