SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

Nice picture.

May have been other C-Dorys on the left?

Fred
I don’t think so. It certainty resembles a C-Dory but the transom where the engine is mounted is too narrow. In addition, the bow rail is too long. I do not believe C-Dory ever had one all the way to the back of the cabin. No side planking and no C-Dory color trim.

I believe it is an imposter.

C-Run has a new home. I have moved from a dry storage unit to a boathouse (in the same complex). Now, from my house to being on the water takes 10 minutes! I can go out for a 30 minute cruise and it is no biggie. :thup :thup Robbi

Ordered a Lowrance LMF-400. Looks like it is a pretty slick setup. It will tie into
the LMS-337C DF and give me mpg readout, along with lots of other info. Should
make a useful backup to the LMS-337C DF, too. The LMF-400 comes with the
EP-10 fuel flow probe.

I am removed an older Uniden depth finder to make way for the new gauge.
Now I need to find a 3 3/8" hole saw.

I wonder if there is any way to get engine output from a 2002 Honda BF-90 onto
a NMEA-2000 network (Lowrance connectors)? Temp, oil pressure, etc, would
be interesting to see.

Cape Cruiser? http://www.capecruiserboats.com/  Same designer, almost identical boats save for transom treatment and longer bow rails. There IS some difference in the hull bow, and the 5 degree or so deadrise at the stern. :smilep

Yesterday bright and early we headed out of Fall City for Cornet Bay and EQ Marine with Daydream in tow, clear sailing on the freeways, got there about 9:30 a.m. After dropping the boat off we headed into Anacortes, made a deposit at the Bank of West Marine, nice lunch at Gere-A-Deli, back to EQ. Ran into Warren (Lori-Ann) at EQ, he was interested in the dinghy davit but it was gone. Long and short, we left with a brand new long shaft powertilt Honda 15 kicker bolted to the bracket, with a steering tie rod and Troll Master, so we can run this puppy from the helm! Can hardly wait to get breaking her in, not going to happen today evidently per the Admiral...Now, to keep the thieves off her... :(

JimD - what boat are you talking about? I do not see another boat in the picture (other than the Dakota), that looks like a C-Cory or CapeCruiser.

Got the toaster-oven shelf installed today (or microwave shelf, depending). Per usual, this is a David custom designed and built item. It sits on top of the little hanging locker port side aft - the toaster-oven is strapped down to it, MacBook will live under it. Lugged around a microwave for two years, used it once - we both think we will get more use out of the toaster-oven, in fact we already have. The shelf looks like it was part of the the factory cabinetry! This afternoon will replace a defective fan.

Not on the boat, but what we also did today - got our new Washington State shellfish / fishing licenses online - I guess this is new, you fill out a form, give them your credit card number, print out a temporary license and they mail you the real deal in 7 - 10 days. Patty got a shellfish license, I got a saltwater fishing & shellfish license. Better catch me some fish this year, could have bought all the fish I could eat for what I paid for my Washington / BC / Alaska licenses last year! So, newly printed licenses in hand, we went down to Birch Bay State Park and dug our 40 clams each, Manilas and littlenecks, it was pretty easy today. Steamed clams and garlic toast for dinner, tonight, yummo!

I just caught up with the last three pages of this thread and I have to say that the Lake Union Sea Ray dealership in Fife is a thumbs down as a repair dealer. :thdown

If I had treated my customers like that when I was in the O/B business, I would have been 'out of business' in short order. :crook

As a warranty service dealer, they seem worse than they are as a repair dealer.

If they are still in business, they must be a good sales dealer, but I wouldn't buy there knowing that they can't fix what they sell! :sad

Boats are not cars! Boats need competent repair and servicing at regular intervals. Please keep reporting on the places that do provide good service.

Thanks Larry for your frank comments. People like me, whose basic tool for getting things fixed and maintained is the dollar bill, depend almost totally on such knowlegable evaluations. It may seem harsh to some, but at $80-90 bucks an hour, it's vital . Thanks again.

LOL I didn't see the picture, just made a query as to the possibility based on Dave's description.

jim , dave. if you are talking about the boat in the friday harbour pic to the left of the c-dory its a parker. I have seen it out there before. They are a east coast made boat with aa good rep. mostly a day fisher not a cruiser. very little in the cabin but seats

Installed the fuel line related components for a Lowrance EP-10 fuel
flow probe. A bit difficult because the Lowrance uses 3/8" connections
and the Honda is rigged with 5/16". But, I used elbows and barbs to
do the conversion. I hope this doesn't leak when I start the engine!
I'm not worried so much about safety; I'll be looking for leaks. But, it
would be annoying to have to remove all this stuff again. I used
Teflon tape, so should be OK. Kinda neat looking. It's nice working on
a boat that is not real old. I needed to remove the helm wheel so
I could drill a larger hole for the LMF-400 gauge. Came off with a few
whacks of the fist. Gonna be interesting drilling that great big hole
in the helm. At least I managed to find the right size hole saw.
3 3/8" hole saws are not common unless you want to order it off the
internet.

Nuttin', nada, goose-egg, zippo... 9 days since we were on Wild Blue, and I am having some serious withdrawal. Just got home from getting the Mom-in-law moved and settled in. Right now I need a good stiff adult beverage, a good night's sleep, and tomorrow Wild Blue goes back in the water. We spent most of the drive today discussing our plans for the next trip! 8) Looking forward to Lake Powell.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

I went to Sportcraft this afternoon to pick up CatyMae to bring her home -- saw Chester and the owners and a red CD22 (going too fast for me to get the name, but didn't recognize it as a C-Brat name) pulling out of the ramp when I got there....cheap trip today -- only cost me $40 to get her out of hawk! :thup

Looking forward to the Cathlamet gathering and some good time on the water -- hoping Larry will share a bit of his knowledge about sneaking up on some of those elusive springer salmon! I'm packing herring and smelt, salmon and sturgeon rods

Some of you may remimber our boat's oddesy and how it was rearended on the way to the Sequim Bay gathering where we were gonna float it for the first time.
Took it to the dealer. The dealer tells us the wreck damage is repaired. Went down to pick it up, oops, not fixed. Another trip.
Parked the boat for the winter.
Changed the lower end oil. The starboard motor's gear oil was black. Dealer said "we musta forgot it on the 20 hour service". Oops.
Today we put it in the water for the first time. The starboard engine is stuck in reverse, it even started in gear. Oops.
I'm usually a pretty happy guy. Not after this.
Back to the dealer. They didn't test their repairs thoroughly after working on the engines after the wreck. To their credit they got right on it today and fixed it while we waited.
We saw CatyMae there. I must say I admire their taste in boats! :thup
