So Where Am I?

That's a loaded question isn't it? Anne and I took Meander out for a somewhat spontaneous day trip today. So who can guess where we went and where these pictures are. its somewhere in the Pacific North North West. :lol:

It was a glorious fall day. Calm and total sunshine from start to finish. We did about 65NM total. Had a picnic on the rocks and absolutely enjoyed being out on Meander. I'll post the picture that gives away the location a bit later. I bet some of the Norhtwest C-brats know where we went today though.
 
If it is Prideaux Haven, I've only seen it with a bunch of boats anchored all about... so that's what it looks like when you've got it to yourself! 8)

Jim, Desolation Sound at any time is a great place. When you have it to yourself on a beautiful, sunny, and calm day it is magical.

Tom I'm impressed that you could identify Prideaux Haven! Was that a lucky guess or are you really that good? :P

Boris, those mountains are pretty recognizable as being Desolation Sound.

The fourth picture is of Roscoe Bay, just across the sound on Redonda Island.
 
Good thing they were able to come up with an answer. You really got to get a GPS so you don't have to be asking us.

Roger,
BC has now imposed the toughest drinking and driving laws in North America (at least that is what the government ads claim) and the same DWI laws apply to boating. So..... obviously that bottle you see in the picture can not be wine. It can only be a non alcoholic BC Chardon - eh. :roll:

Da Nag actually was the closest in guessing "where am I?" so he gets the prize. A free Tim Hortons coffee and donut. All he has to do to collect his prize is stop by the "Tims" here in Powell River and its all his. :smilep

Actually if any of you stop by in Powell River I'd delighted to buy you a coffee and donut, or better yet, share a bottle of that non alcoholic BC Chardon-Eh with you! :wink
