Considering CDory 16 cruiser or going back to sail with a Compac Eclipse.

Hmm, interesting. In the short time I've been on this forum I've noticed that several Brats have downsized or talked about downsizing. I find that very perplexing because I'm willing to sell my kidneys to UPGRADE. Lol! :)

16's are definitely easy to launch/retrieve. Even if you're solo, it's a cake walk.

Either configuration of the 16 meets those criteria. It will take some time, maybe a couple weeks, to get used to the different feel of a sixteen vs. the 22 (or 23), but soon you'll feel safe and secure. For us, the simplicity of the vessel itself, the ease of towing (with a 4 cylinder) and launching/retrieving were important. Others have added all manner of 'improvements, which we don't want and frankly don't have the skill to install. I could go into the pros and cons of the cruiser vs. the angler but, having had both, I still don't know which one I like best. I do know that I miss them both. Good luck, what ever you decide.
