SOLD - 2006 TomCat, trailer and many extras.

How tall is it on the trailer? Can it fit through an 11 foot door.? I have a friend looking at a 25 but would really like a Tom Cat but really wants to keep it in a aircraft hanger that he has.

Thanks Tom

Tom,

I had Discovery built with a low radar arch. It fits under a 12' header, but barely. I stored another TomCat with a high arch (Lori Ann) and we had to unbolt the radar and lay it to the side to fit under the header.

I think the boat is sold. I am awaiting a wire transfer that won't post until Monday 11/02

It's been hard looking back through old photos of all the trips and places we have traveled. It makes us want to keep the TomCat and start the process all over again, oh well, dammit how time flys and 15 years slip away.

I have had at least 10 potential buyers contact me. Four new today. The ad has been up for more than a week. Lots of contacts trough Craigslist Seattle. I took serious buyers in the order they contacted me. Number three is the apparent winner. I talked to a lot of really nice people. I hope you all can find a TomCat.

I wish I had 3 or 4 TomCats to sell.

Brent, Best to you in your future dilemma. I know the feeling of having a boat for 15 years. I was just offered 50K for mine, but it is not for sale, not even for that price. NOt yet and not for a good while to come. Offer was out of the blue and not expected. Kind of took my breath away. But I still have places to go. You will come up with something, I'm sure.

Sorry to hear you are selling your TomCat. I wish you would have waited for about five more years and I would have bought it. It's a beautiful boat and very well cared for. Right now my 22 is just right for the adventures we have planned for her, but in five or six years we might like to move up to something bigger. Best of luck in your future adventures and stay safe and healthy.

Discovery has offically been sold and picked up by the new owner.

There was a snafu with the HIN which had originated with the original builder...Reynolds C-Dory. They had listed the month of build wrong on the MCO. It didn't match the HIN on the boat. I finally got the corrected title today. It postponed finalizing the sale for 6 weeks.

Discovery is going back to Washington State and the Puget Sound. The new owner wants to keep the name Discovery. I'll let them introduce themselves if they so choose.

Thanks everyone for all the support and advice over the years.

We have owned 4 C-Dorys over the last 30 years. Two 22's and two TomCats. I might consider another 22' Angler. I'm looking for a day boat now for fishing and exploring. I wish I had kept the 2006 22' Angler we had. Bud Beck do you want to sell it back?

Brent and Dixie, Sure hope you are at peace with the transaction and letting her go. FYI, I will keep an eye out up here and if I get close enough I will say HI, and maybe give her a pat. For sure we will dip the colors.

Best to you as you on down the road. Sure hope you stick around here though.

Congrats on the sale and condolences on saying good-bye to a great boat. We get it. Lots of fun adventures on Discovery and now time to make new fun memories with this next chapter.

Someone in the PNW got a great boat!

Hugs all around,
Jim & Joan
