Some observationsSince buying our GB, I have spent some time on the GB forums (there are two of them; one run by the factory and the other a separate venture). There are many concerns that are different (e.g., teak decks, fly bridges, etc.), but there are some similarities that I list below:
1. Why the boats represented on the forum are the best
2. Why the particular forum is the best (well, we know the answer to that one)
3. There are a few super-posters with thousands of posts and then the rest of us
4. There are a couple of folks who are the go to folks for problems with the boats, sort of like Dr. Bob here
5. There are techno geeks who speak in acronyms, strange letter and number combinations, and who I cannot understand
6. Concerns about the price and quality of fuel
7. Concerns about sanitation systems, electrical systems, mechanical systems etc.
8. What brand of engine is the best
9. Lazarettes and whether they are dry
10. I could go on, but the absolute #1, hotly debated topic is….ta da….twins versus a single!!!!
