Our friend and cruising companion, Fred Kistler, died early in April of cancer. We have many fond memories of times on the water and shore with Fred and his wife, Deb. Sorry to have to relay this news but thought those of you who cruised with Fred would want to know of his passing.

Condolences in the loss of your friend. Remembering the good times makes the loss easier over time.

We met Fred and Deb in 2004 as they were coming back north from a winter in Mexico. Theirs was the second TomCat 24 we had ever seen, after our own "Cygnet". We shared a few glasses of wine and spent hours visiting about boats and Mexico. We kept in touch via Email for a few years, but I didn't hear from Fred in the last year. I think they have been spending the winters in Florida recently. We are really sorry for Deb's loss and hope that Fred's passing was not long and painful. Cancer is a horrible disease. Fred was a great person that enjoyed life and will be missed by all that had the opportunity to know him.

Sorry to hear about this. Fred was a kind man and we enjoyed the time we spent with him on Lake Powell. Our thoughts and prayers for Debbie.

We are sad too. We never met Fred and Deb, but we bought a TC24 that belonged to them. We didn't know this until we were searching through the documentation that came with the boat. Rest assured that the spirit of Fred, Deb, and the boat will continue on with us!
