Something new and different

Looks like an air ride seat for your whole boat. Might just be what I need for crossing Juna de Fuca. Cool ride, nice fun find. Thanks for sharing that one Tom.

Why not just read the tide tables and wind direction, and chug quietly
along at 5 knots and not worry about buying a high priced air ride? Patience and prudence!

I think from watching the whole video that its just a test bed for a much larger ship. But it would have its uses in many places, plus its cool.

Though I do preach reading the charts and tides MOST of us still work for a living and cant chug around at 5 knots . Got to get out and back on someone else's schedule and we have to boat around that.

Very interesting, but limited to small and moderate chop, etc. Once the big ones start rolling, I'd rather be in a single, unified hull, and when possible, with a real displacement hull with a good sized, heavy keel, and not too much weight aloft:, e.g., an offshore sailboat, or a positive displacement trawler.
