We actually don't have any snow here...big snowflakes fell but nothing stuck. It is starting to get a little depressing (read: a LOT depressing) to have cold temps and precip every single day...when oh when is the sun going to come out????

When we were last in Sequim in '95, the real estate people and the locals at the Sequim Yacht Club at the John Wayne Marina were telling us about life in the "Bananna Belt" at Sequim, where it rains/snows only 17" per year!
I don't see no bananas in this photo!!!! No Harry Belafonte either! Looks more like a Christmas card from Nova Scotia! Enjoy your Irish Coffee by the fireplace and keep Janet entertained!
Put the Santa Claus suit on for a photo for your 2008 Season's Greetings cards?

No grinning here... I am aghast! My heart goes out to Janet, thinking about her even attempting to walk in that nasty, slippery stuff.
We are back in the Tropical Tip; got in late Friday. By the time we had things unloaded and the house opened back up, it was too late to get Wild Blue out of storage on Saturday (it closes at 1:00). Yesterday was in the low 80s, sunny, light breeze, and just downright beautiful (today is a carbon copy of that). I couldn't stand it - I got my inflatable out, put the motor on, and motored around our island. It was moderately satisfying... just felt good to be on the water after several weeks in the desert. I plan to get Wild Blue out of storage and back into the water tomorrow morning.
I believe in karma - it is not good to gloat or take joy in another's misfortune. Somehow, I know it will come back to bite me in the butt. I also try to not be jealous when others have it better than me. We are for sure leaving Wild Blue home this summer, so there will be many times when I will be looking to the C-Brats for my C-Dory "fix."
I hope this nasty weather passes quickly, and we both send our sincere get-well wishes for your lovely wife. Give her a very gentle hug from us.

Just back from clamming at Long Beach, Wa. We got 1 1/2 clams the first day between about 6 diggers and much better today with about 18 between 5 diggers. That is pathetic success in case you don't know since the limit is 15 per person, per day. Maybe the snow and sleet that fell on us constantly had something to do with it? We had snow sticking to the beach (0 ft. elevation) this morning, with sizeable skiffs accumulating between 7:00 am and 9:00 am. It is snowing right now outside my home. C.W.

Seventy Degrees here in DownEast Maine on the coast.... 70 miles from Canada.
Snow in banks when we got here two weeks ago to pack up. Gone now. Mud season starts and the black flies come out.

CW, I had to chuckle when I read the above.....it brings back memories of a time in the late 60's when I was driving on the Pacific Coast Highway in California with a couple of friends that were visiting me. As we were driving next to the ocean, one of them asked me what the elevation was and I looked past her to the ocean and said, "Oh, about 30 feet above sea level". Yes, it was just snowing here a few minutes ago. So, far today, I've seen sun, rain and snow.....better than tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes.
Roger, Sure good to see "Dreamer" safe at home. Good thing that cabernet strip is so shinny, otherwise it might look like you were trying to hide, camouflaged in the surroundings.

Well, update for Jim, it is still cold but it looks like it is going to be sunny today. Normally in other parts of the country that is not big news, but here it will make the frickey-dickie headlines...
