wish us luck.....lol.....

Roger,
Sometimes you just got to pull the keys out of the ignition after 500 miles... He get in the new boat mind set,,,you know,,,just two more feet===just a hundred more miles!!!!
Travel safely.
Travel smartly.
DO NOT COME TO WESTERN NEW YORK!!!
Terry

I realize that you are heading east and south, but why head east now, instead of farther south first and get somewhere below the main COLD weather. Just me I guess

Be safe, and hang on.

HI Roger and Pat,

Are you still traveling, stuck in a snow bank, or got there and out fishing already? Wondering?

well, it has been a long three weeks.
I am safely home and no snowbanks were in our travels.
it took us about 5 days travel time to get the boat back to its home in Tennessee. we had Thanksgiving with some of Byrds friends and then the next day I proceeded to the mountains of Georgia for a couple of days visiting relatives then back up to Byrdmans home for a few more days then took off driving back here to WA state. came home I-70 to I-80 through Denver where I had a nice visit with Bill & Ell at their home there. I figure I traveled about 5300 miles total .
saw some beautiful scenery along the way and no snow or icy conditions at all.

Hi Roger,

Sure happy to read your post that you're home safe and sound; that you were able to connect with Bill and El, too.
BTW, belated Happy Birthday wishes (see I remembered, just a couple of days late).
We'll have to do the OG one of these days.

Sent with hugs,
Ruth and Joe, C-Brats #22,

Here-Here... I am here! :beer

Roger and & had a great trip with a few wrinkles....but as things turned out a great trip. Departed a few days late due to actuator going out on trailer brakes, a blown tire & busted trans oil cooler line busting. The last two happened at once..and we rolled directly into a combination tire & NAPA truck service parking lot. Will make a follow on post about the service we received..it was for sure over the top and worth its own follow on post!

Going to put ALOYSIUS in a wet slip in the newly built/opened Clarksville Marina on the Cumberland River...just about 5 minutes from my home.

Many thanks to the several C-Brats that made ALOYSIUS & my last two year stay in the Pacific North West waters a true joy. Traveled home with a 4 cubic foot freezer in the cockpit of the boat with bounty from our stay to include crab, shrimp, salmon, corn...and some other items we had smoked on our big smoker days! Now, to find a good use for Scotty electric down riggers in my much shallower local waters....until my return for some more salmon fishing.

Bill & El: Sorry I missed a visit this trip too.
Joe & Ruth: Joe I hope you have gotten a wig and enjoyed another ham dinner with Miss Ruth.

Byrdman settling back in @ home in TN.
